Please update your computer to Mac OS X 10.8.4 (or a later version).
Your computer is running on the Mac OS X 10.8.3 Mountain Lion operating system.
Unfortunately Mac OS X 10.8.3 introduced a bug when detecting USB devices, which impacts some USB devices and memory sticks as well as our Pokens. While we developed a workaround for this problem to allow you to detect your Poken and off-load your contacts to our server, it would be much easier to simply upgrade your computer’s operating system.
To synchronize your Poken without upgrading on this computer, please follow these instructions. You will need to download and launch a small application to detect your Poken on this computer.
Before trying to sync your Poken please check if your Java is enabled: on MAC OS X 10.8 platforms with the upgrade of Safari web browser to the latest version brought by the latest MAC OS update the Java plug-in gets disabled. To enable it please follow the steps below:
- visit Oracle’s Java testpage in Safari: http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp
- after a while an Inactive Plug-In message will appear
- click on it and follow the instructions, you will get a Security Warning - grant permission to run the test
- in the end you should get a message that Java is working
