Ok, so you have a poken in your hands. You just pokened with someone and want to have him or her into your contact list. What do you do?
Getting Started
First you need to insert your Poken into the USB port of your computer.
Either a web browser window opens automatically and you can log into your poken account directly or if a web browser does not automatically appear, make sure you double-click the “POKEN.HTM” file that appears on the poken drive.
Succesfull Synchronization
In the pokenHUB (your poken account) you will see a “NEW CONTACTS” box on the top right of the page with a green dot just on its left, showing the number of new contacts you achieved while pokening
This means that your poken has successfully been synchronized with your account. Congrats!
Failing to synchronize your poken automatically?
So you inserted your Poken into the USB drive, reached your poken account but your poken didn’t get automatically synchronized with your account?
This means that you don’t have the Java software installed on your computer in order to do it automatically, but don’t worry, it’s very easy. Just follow the steps below.
Step 1
In the pokenHUB (your poken account), you will see a 'SYNC MY POKEN” box on the top right of the page.
Clcik on the green "SYNC MY POKEN" button.
Step 2
An explorer window will open where you'll have to search for "POKEN.HTM" file and double click on it.
Step 3
Now your message box will change from “SYNC MY POKEN” to “NEW CONTACTS” showing you just on the left the number of new contacts you have achieved during pokening.
Still not working?
If you see 0 new contacts, and you know that you have successfully pokened with someone, you might have encountered a problem in synchronizing your Poken device with your account. Please get your Poken out of your USB port and try to stick it into another USB port and repeat the procedure described on “Synchronizing your Poken”.
If you are still dealing with the same problem, please let us know at support@poken.com. We’ll be happy to help!
